Angie Hanawa

Angie is a Senior Program Manager at Enel North America with 7 years of experience managing demand response (DR) portfolios across the US and Canada. Currently, Angie manages Enel’s 4GW demand response portfolio in PJM’s capacity market, where she oversees the financial performance of the company’s DER assets across various different life stages – from sales to settlement and from regulatory engagement to measurement and verification. As Program Manager, she is the subject matter expert in all things DR-related for her market. Before PJM, Angie managed the company’s DR portfolios in New York and Alberta, CA. 

Angie graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies. She holds a Masters in Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment, where she focused on Energy and Sustainable Finance.

Outside of work, Angie is passionate about empowering young people to pursue careers in energy and theenvironment. For 3 years she has served on the Executive Board of the Young Professionals in Energy’s Boston Chapter, which aims to facilitate the advancement of young professionals in the energy industry around the world through social, educational and civic service-oriented events.
