Anthony Colonnese

Anthony Colonnese is Vice President of Energy Security Solutions of Ameresco, Inc. (NYSE:AMRC), a leading energy efficiency and renewable energy company. 

Mr. Colonnese has over 35 years of experience in the energy efficiency & renewable energy industry.  As Vice President of Energy Security Solutions, he oversees the proposal and development of large energy projects to assure that they are technically sound, commercially competitive, and meet the client’s needs.  These responsibilities include working across various regions and offices to maintain Ameresco’s high corporate standards regarding project feasibility, risk, and long-term operability.  

Throughout his career, Mr. Colonnese has been responsible for all aspects of projects including energy auditing, conceptual design, financial modeling, contract negotiation, and monitoring and verification.  His project experience includes renewable energy with a focus on solar photovoltaic (PV) generation systems, cogeneration and central chiller and boiler plants, energy storage and microgrid integration, HVAC systems, water conservation, performance contracts, and consulting to utilities to optimize energy programs.

Mr. Colonnese joined Ameresco in 2006 through the company’s acquisition of Select Energy Services, where he served as Director of Engineering Services. 

Mr. Colonnese earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University.
